BRUME: perfume in five colours, in real glass.
BRUME is an invented perfume brand with five scents, each with its own colour, in a refillable glass capsule. DTB WEB designed and built the website as a concept. One capsule carries the whole page, in a photo studio drawn live in your browser.

The question
How do you show a scent on a screen? Perfume sites usually lean on photography. We wanted the product itself to carry the page, real enough that you want to pick up the glass, with colour as the only thing that shouts.
The idea
Every scent has its own colour, and only the liquid carries it. As you scroll, the capsule acts out four reasons: a fine mist, an extrait, refilling and a vegan formula. Then the ingredients appear out of the mist, and you put together a discovery set of three colours yourself.
The technique
The capsule was modelled once in Blender, with a heavy glass base, a dip tube, a chrome pump and an engraved band. three.js builds exactly the same shape in the browser. The glass is drawn last and refracts the image behind it, the liquid included. The studio with its softboxes and rim light is drawn in code, and the whole page sits in one studio that takes on the colour of the scent in view.
A concept, not a client
BRUME does not exist and nothing is for sale. Anyone who builds a set reads at the end that it is a concept and that nothing is sent or saved. The scents, the capsule and the campaign were invented for this design.
